As a fashion stylist, costume designer and creative consultant, JOAN REIDY is a style expert with a wealth of hands-on high-profile experience. Joan is highly sought after for her creative curiosity and collaborative spirit. Her degrees in Sculpture from Parsons School of Design and the San Francisco Art Institute have served as the bedrock for her creative choices through a critical, cultural, and fine art lens.

Over time and experience, Joan has developed her signature style: a synthesis of punk rock ethos, street style ambition, and high fashion execution.

Joan began her career as an assistant to the fashion stylist Andrea Lieberman. During that time, Joan enacted upon her unique vision, helping style Jennifer Lopez’s iconic and attention grabbing looks for music videos and award shows. Throughout that long-term working relationship, Joan also styled Gwen Stefani for photo shoots and created costumes for her tours with her multi-platinum band No Doubt and as a solo artist. At the birth of Gwen's brand L.A.M.B., Joan was involved in styling the line’s fashion shows and later acted as a creative consultant for the brand. As an assistant costume designer on Madonna’s MDNA World Tour, Joan worked directly with the dancers and the band to create their memorable stage looks. When Beyoncé filmed her epic visual album “Lemonade” Joan was recruited to be part of the team to help bring those now infamous looks to life.

From her work as a lead stylist for Lagos Fashion Week to working with international designers during NYFW Joan has become a passionate ally and vocal advocate for diversity, representation and inclusion in the Fashion Industry. Joan has been sought after for her insights - speaking on panels for the CFDA on Diversity and Representation, writing for Fashionista, and has been interviewed by publications such as Who What, Wear, The Cut and The Hollywood reporter.

In addition to her fashion styling work, Joan has continued brand consulting relationships with several brands, including A.L.C and Glemaud. Working directly with designers and their teams to help bring their vision to light, Joan advises during all stages of a collection, always pushing creatively while keeping in mind the needs of their markets.

Whether it’s styling a runway collection, an ad campaign, or consulting for brands, Joan is straightforward and authentic. Her discretion, collaborative working style, instincts for trends, and understanding of style and context makes Joan a rare find in the world of fashion stylists.

She creates images, she tells stories, she solves problems for her clients.

Joan currently resides in New York City.
